Let’s Talk Science Lakehead Orillia is a community-based outreach program delivered in partnership with Lakehead University and Let’s Talk Science National. We promote hands-on learning through free science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) topic sessions for children and youth (ages 3-18). At Let’s Talk Science Lakehead Orillia, our volunteers foster scientific inquiry by providing students with the skills they need to be innovative thinkers and successful community leaders. Covering a range of topics – with a particular focus on environmental sustainability – Let’s Talk Science Lakehead Orillia collaborates with hundreds of educators in Simcoe County to create tailor-made, curriculum-aligned STEM topic sessions.

In addition to our traditional , in-person classroom programming, Let’s Talk Science Lakehead Orillia is now offering online sessions that can be delivered to students from the comfort of their own homes. Through Lakehead University’s Ed4014 program, qualified teacher candidates are able to connect with youth online and support them in learning STEM topics. As our program continues to grow, we look forward to the opportunity to expand our reach beyond Simcoe County. For more information, please visit our Contact Us page.
